Tips for Valentine’s Day
In a few days it will be Valentine’s Day. Will you be celebrating?
Last Valentine’s day I was so very single. I did not do anything. I contemplated walking into a bar in hopes of finding a lonely soul to talk to, but instead I just went home. It was my 1 year single anniversary.
Only a week later I met a super cute boy. This year he is taking me to dinner somewhere, and I told him to get me a gift.
I thought I would share some tips for making your sig other feel special on Valentine’s Day.
1. Make a handmade Valentine
How cute were all those Valentines you got in elementary school. I used to have a great time making valentines for all my classmates. Each was unique. My mom would get glitter, doilies, ribbons, stickers, red and pink construction paper–how adorable.
A handmade card is so touching. Especially a retro throw back to elementary school days one.
2. Flowers
This is the day to get flowers. However don’t get red roses, that is just too cliche. Unless you’re into being sappy and cliche, which I am most of the time.
Go with his or her favorite flower. Preferably some indie florist’s wildflower bouquet.
When in doubt pink or white roses are good, or maybe something elegante, such as irises or tulips. Something lush and pastel and romantique.
3.Make an Entrance
Try to wear some over the top Valentine’s outfit. Either go Super Valentine’s themed, such as a red or pink dress, or a red dress with pink hearts on it, or super sexy. Why Not. You may or may not have heard of the statement You Only Live Once, so popular with the younger set. #YOLO
4. Underwear
Make sure to wear something scandalous underneath your sweater.
5. Candles, Rose Petals, Gifts, Chocolates, hotel rooms, Champagne…sensual massage, sensual massage instructional dvds from the 80s (lol). (my imagination is getting carried away. )
Why the heck not. Go all out.
Make sure to dine on vegan food, chocolate and cuddle with your dogs and cats if you have any.
