Thoughts on the State of Vegan Shoes

Guys,

Something needs to be done about vegan shoes.

The world is majorly lagging.

Everyone wants them. But hardly any are available.

Are “unintentionally vegan” shoes enough? Shoes made without leather only because synthetic stuff is cheaper? Are you content with just shopping at Forever 21 because it’s cheap, or hoping by some miracle some other shoe company made one measly shoe without leather?

No.

I’m not.

I want a big website, like Zappos, or like a Jcrew at least, with a wide excellent collection of stylish vegan shoes. Who is with me?

One stop shopping.

I also want a website that aggregates all the vegan shoes out there in the meantime. Even the unintentional vegan ones. I want it to have a grid of pictures of all the vegan shoes available in any online store here or there and the pics would link you to where they are sold. That way you could readily see all the measly options for vegan shoes there are right now.

And it would be cool if they could be filtered too by style.

Wouldn’t that be great?

Should I make that?

What do you guys think?

A Vegan Murse (purse for a man) and Musings on Greg Behrendt

What do you think of this vegan murse? I just like writing the word. I actually think it is pretty cool. It is made out of recycled inner tubes by a cool lady in colorado. Her company is called English Retreads. They have other bags too in their online store (all vegan) but I’m not really a fan of the styles. I prefer something a bit more delicate, i guess.

But this bag is cool.

This reminds me for some reason of Greg Behrendt, the author of He’s Just Not That Into You, an annoying book which contains profound wisdom. Am I alone here ladies?

greg and his beloved wife, Amira, who he IS just that into. 

I liked the book so much, I watched a bunch of clips of Greg’s stand up comedy routine back in the days before he was famous, and laughed pretty hard at his jokes.

His style however was a bit strange. Like a black t shirt, a chain (for no apparent reason) hanging out of his pocket and some weird black belt…. in any case, I could see him carrying his notes in this bag.

Ha. My memory served me well. 

Well, I highly suggest checking out some clips of Greg’s on youtube. And also if this bag strikes your fancy, buying it and supporting vegan companies.

And while your at it, do tell me if you have read He’s Just Not That Into You, and share with me your thoughts on that book of profound yet simple wisdom.
