Vegan Oxfords fit for Meeting the Sartorialist Himself

Want to be on the Sartorialist? You might increase your likelihood of making it on to that fabled blog a hundred fold by wearing THESE leather like vintage vegan oxford shoes from Forever 21 for ($24.80).

The sartorialist is a blog that I read even though it annoys me. Can he photograph one more intensely thin older woman who works in the fashion industry wearing mens clothes along with a long skirt and oxfords? Yes. Yes he can. At the same time, he finds incredibly fashionable people wearing very unique looks and his blog can be quite inspiring.

One thing is certain: he has a soft spot for oxfords, and these ones are amazing, and really fit the bill for an extraordinarily cheap price.

And now, to prove my point, here are some oxford wearing women of the Sartorialist for your viewing pleasure:

Gotta stop somewhere! Check out Forever21’s site for even more vegan oxford options.

What do you think? Was I right about the Sartorialist or am I being too hard on him? I’d love to know your opinion.

An Amazing Resource For Vegan Boots

Hello friends,

I’ve found another great source for vegan shoes that I wanted to share with all of you: Wantedshoes.com

This site has a huge selection of shoes. Their boots section is especially fruitful. Not all of their shoes are totally vegan but every shoe I was interested in and clicked on, except one, was. This is great news. I’d say this site is up there with Forever21.com as the site with the best selection of vegan shoes on the web.

One note. Ultimately it would be ideal to buy shoes from totally vegan companies made for vegans and vegetarians. That way none of our money would support the leather shoe industry. However, the selection at totally vegan companies is so lacking and the prices can be so high that that’s not always an option. I think just buying shoes made with all non leather materials makes a statement, and can make you feel good about your lifestyle and choices. What do you think though? Is it ok to buy what I call “unintentionally vegan” shoes– shoes that are made with non leather materials simply because they are cheap, and not necessarily because they are made with animals in mind? I would love to know your opinion in the comment section.

Well, in the meantime, here are some really cool shoes from Wanted, but they have a huge selection so check it out yourself, because I’m sure they have something that’s more your style.
