Shopping for Vegan Shoes on Amazon, and Why Bad Taste is Sometimes Good Taste

Well, since starting this vegan shoe blog, I have been searching–no scouring–the web for cool vegan shoes (plus accessories) so that this site really can become a truly helpful resource for people who are searching for vegan shoes.

I will let you in on my latest jackpot discovery: Amazon.com

Wow. Go to Amazon and google “vegan shoes” and you will find many very pricey vegan shoes from brand names like Olsen Haus and Cri de Ceour (in my opinion, the two best vegan brands producing vegan shoes) for very cheap prices. Granted, they don’t always have every size in stock but you can find them for like $20 when on Mooshoes.com they would sell for $200 or so.

Clicking on these shoes can lead you to other shoes through the section ” customers who viewed this section also viewed…”

Not all of these shoes are vegan, but surprisingly I had a lot of luck. The fact is a lot of shoes ARE vegan (unintentionally) just because synthetic materials are cheaper and readily available. The nice thing is amazon lists all the materials that shoes are made out of so you know for sure.

Please feel free to browse yourself, but I will be picking some good ones for you and posting my picks on this blog. So please subscribe and stay tuned! Here is my first pick:

Touch Ups Women's Princess Sandal

Touch Up Women’s Princess Sandal

synthetic upper and manmade sole

$50-60, depending on your size. buy here.

Now–let me guess, this might be  a little “blinged out” for some of you but I think it would go great with my new leopard print jacket I have–lol. No I actually think these are very pretty, but also I think the vibe you would get with these is very The Sopranos or The Jersey Shore even. However embrace that.

One of the things I’ve learned is it is very good to change your look up. If you find yourself dressing a certain way like a hipster or an old fashioned person or a mom or in very revealing club clothes–nothing could be more fascinating to people than to suddenly change your look.

For one thing, it is very difficult to break out of your look. You have to be very bold because for sure people will look at you and notice what you are wearing–but trust me after they give you a weird look, they will envy your creativity and boldness. They will see you as mysterious and multi faceted. It is very seductive.

SO, my point is, never say this is “in bad taste” or “I could never wear that” or “that’s so not me” or “I wish I could pull that off”. The more you hear yourself saying those things, the more you owe it to yourself to break out of your mold and show yourself how multi faceted and layered you truly are. I like to say to myself sometimes “I am everything”. That way I don’t beat myself up for being very interested in books and art but also in fashion. I truly believe everyone is everything.

Well hope that made sense to you all!! What do you think about what I said? Is there such a thing as “bad taste” or is it important to have both “good taste” and “bad taste” to keep things interesting? Would you wear the princess shoes? Do you try to mix up your look or do you stick to one style!? Comment below! Can’t wait to hear what, if anything, you have to say!
